Learning math in kindergarten should feel like play—not work. These activities use everyday items to build strong math foundations while keeping it fun.


Number Sense Activities (1-10)


1. Counting Collections

Gather small objects (buttons, pasta, coins) and sort them by 10s. Count everything!


2. Number Hunt

Walk around the house finding numbers. Who can find the most?


3. Snack Math

"You have 5 crackers. If you eat 2, how many are left?"


4. Dice Games

Roll dice and count dots. Add two dice together for addition readiness.


5. Number Line Hop

Make a floor number line with tape. Hop as you count forward and backward.
