   Find the perimeter of the square with length 14 units and width 14 units.

   1. Perimeter is the distance all the way around the square. Add the four sides.
   2. Perimeter = 14 + 14 + 14 + 14 = 2 × (14 + 14) = 56 units.

   Answer: 56 units

2. Example 2

   Find the perimeter of the rectangle with length 2 units and width 6 units.

   1. Perimeter is the distance all the way around the rectangle. Add the four sides.
   2. Perimeter = 2 + 6 + 2 + 6 = 2 × (2 + 6) = 16 units.

   Answer: 16 units

3. Example 3

   Find the perimeter of the rectangle with length 7 units and width 11 units.

   1. Perimeter is the distance all the way around the rectangle. Add the four sides.
   2. Perimeter = 7 + 11 + 7 + 11 = 2 × (7 + 11) = 36 units.

   Answer: 36 units
