📖Counting Back from Bigger Numbers

For 9 - 3, start at 9 and count back 3: 8, 7, 6. The answer is 6! Counting back works for any subtraction.

Use your fingers to help count back. Hold up 3 fingers and put one down each time you count back.

📖Think Addition

If you know 6 + 4 = 10, you also know 10 - 4 = 6 and 10 - 6 = 4. Addition and subtraction are related!
