   6. Combine: 80 + 6 = 86

   Answer: 86

2. Example 2

   60 + 22 = ?

   1. Break apart both numbers by place value.
   2. 60 = 60 + 0
   3. 22 = 20 + 2
   4. Add the tens: 60 + 20 = 80
   5. Add the ones: 0 + 2 = 2
   6. Combine: 80 + 2 = 82
