1. Example 1

   Find the mode of: 4, 8, 13, 15, 16, 18, 18

   1. Count how many times each number appears: 18 appears 2 times; every other number appears once.
   2. 18 appears more often than any other number (2 times).
   3. So the mode is 18.

   Answer: 18

2. Example 2

   Find the mode of: 3, 3, 3, 11, 12, 17, 17, 17, 17

   1. Count how many times each number appears: 3 appears 3 times, 17 appears 4 times; every other number appears once.
   2. 17 appears more often than any other number (4 times).
   3. So the mode is 17.

   Answer: 17

3. Example 3

   Find the mode of: 1, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 14

   1. Count how many times each number appears: 14 appears 2 times; every other number appears once.
   2. 14 appears more often than any other number (2 times).
   3. So the mode is 14.

   Answer: 14
