   2. Add each column from right to left, regrouping when a column reaches 10.
   3. Bring the decimal point straight down into the answer.
   4. 166.237 + 91.77 = 258.007

   Answer: 258.007

2. Example 2

   25.1 × 4.6 = ?

   1. Multiply without the decimal points: 251 × 46 = 11546.
   2. Count the decimal places in the factors: 1 + 1 = 2.
   3. Move the decimal point 2 places left: 115.46.
   4. 25.1 × 4.6 = 115.46

   Answer: 115.46

3. Example 3

   139.7 − 20.2 = ?

   1. Line up the decimal points of 139.7 and 20.2.
   2. Subtract each column from right to left, regrouping from the next column when needed.
   3. Bring the decimal point straight down into the answer.
   4. 139.7 − 20.2 = 119.5
